API-Calls are not possible

Hi,

I can't acess my XG via REST-API no more. This worked fine for a longer time and then suddenly stopped working without changes from my side.

API Access Checkbox is (of course) enabled in API -> API-Configuration.
When I try to send API-Calls from my (in the past working) script, I always get this Response:

<Response APIVersion="1700.1">
<Status code="534">
API operations are not allowed from the requester IP address.
</Status>
</Response>

This is wrong, because I entered the IP4-Adresse from the Client-Machine in the List with the allowed IPs for API-Calls.

When I try it directly in the Admin-Interface (= API-Explorer), where you can enter Requests interactive, I always get a Dialog-Box with the Message, API Calls from this IP are not alowed. This is stupid, because it's the Admin-Console itself, that is not allowed!?

Has somebody an idea, what I can do to reenable API-Calls?

  • That was probably a bug in the firmware. After an upgrade I was able to access the API again without any changes. But you have to be careful. I tried to write an object back and Sophos did a full factory reset. That was a big problem on my production system until everything worked again.
