Qotom Q355G4

Has anyone got the above hardware to work with XG ? I believe USB 3 is the problem but not sure how to disable them from the BIOS. Any pointer is much apreciated.

Hi Lye ,

What message you get on the screen when you try to boot from USB. I believe that could not be an issue as your motherboard should able to recognize USB 3.0 as it has a preloaded driver.

Hi, The error message I got is "Starting Firmware Installation. Failed Getting ISO disk. Press Y to reboot.". I've use Rufus 2.16 to create the USB key using "DD" option.

Another thread made me aware just today, that HD Space could be an issue if smaller than 80GB. If you can't fix your issue, why not setting-up XG Firewall on another Client where it worked and then switching back SSD to Qotom Device?

Thank you all for your suggestion. I managed to fixed the issue by disabling "XHCI Support" on the USB option in the BIOS. I will see how well this unit perform.

How did you manage to set up? Did you use external CD Drive or did you manage it by USB Stick and RUFUS?

I use USB stick with RUFUS to setup the firewall after disabling XHCI USB support on the BIOS.

Is the Qotom appliance working fine? I'm looking forward to buy the same box: Qotom Q355G4 with 8 GB Ram, 64 GB SSD and the i5 processor (without wifi). Can you recommend this box or not?
