Installation of XG Home - Segmentation fault, does not complete - any ideas?

Can you try to install XG on hard-drive? How big is the SSD?

I saw that post but as it was over a year ago I thought a fresh question would have more chance of a reply.

It's a 32Gb SSD which has Windows 7 on it at the moment.

When you say install on the hard drive can you clarify? - I thought it had to boot to work.

use HDD or an SSD with at least 80 GB of disk space. This is the minimum disk space requirement.

The documentation states 10Gb as the minimum (64 reccomended) - I thought 32gb was enough.

At the end of the "fail" page it does state it will use the 29 gb disk.

I have a larger drive I can use, but I'm confused at to why the documentation is blatantly wrong.

Where do you have this requirement from? Smaller XG have only 64GB SSD and XG85 even has a 8GB eMMC. So why should this be a requirement? At least with XGv15 this wasn't because then I was able to install XG Firmware on a 32GB SSD easily.

do not confuse XG HW with SW installation. XG85 as you said, comes without an HDD and XG can be installed on it (but reporting on disk is not supported). Same applies to smaller XG appliance.

To complete this case, let me note that Minimum HW Requirement for SW Deployment is 80GB on the Getting Started Guide. But the Setup requires at least 10GB and not those 80GB to let SFOS install on a specific Hardware. This means, we can install SFOS on each device with SSD >10GB. This is probably not supported by sophos but it works. As long as it's on a home Device, this shouldn't be an Issue anyways because we do not have the possibility to get support anyways.

I don't have a 10GB Partition :) One of my homebuilt XG has something about a 60GB SSD:
