Full ASA Replacement

We currently have (legacy only) 5585 X pairs with one WAN connection, one INSIDE, and 2 DMZ. What would be the suggested mode to install the XG in? I understand that the XG in bridge mode cannot do HA. Does that mean I could put one XG in bridge mode for each of the individual ASAs in the pair, but they would be stand-alone? is putting all three non-WAN connections through a single XG in bridge mode doable? All three are routed; does that change the recommendation? What is the benefit of placing the XG in bridge mode behind the ASA instead of side-by-side to the ASA?

Thanks!
