Sorry for delay.

Did you try to reset firewall to factory defaults after firmware update. For me that did the trick. I played safe and enabled AP autoregister function from console before connected AP:s to firewall after factory reset.

Hi,

I'm facing the same issue with an XG135 and 2 AP55.

Looks like I have the last firmware (MR3). I also have some difficulties to get DHCP works on device ports where AP are connected. I've succeed once to see access point but only in the "Access point Group" section. When I try to register them in Access Point menu, it still remain on "Loading..." and never get them displayed.

How can you help me ? I've just received theses new devices today and did not manage to make it work easily.

I have resolved my problem.

Update to MR-3 firmware. Do the factory reset. Firewall finds the APs

Why CLI does not have every option as GUI has. I think it is usually other way around.

Same problem here. XG85W and two AP55. Loading...

Support have not yet fixed this issue for my customer.

Ben,

I am sorry but I agree with IanM. This product has nice features and can become a great product, but in Sophos you did not spend enough time on XG before releasing it. I know you have milestone, but until now (after 9 months) this product is not mature and not usable at all in middle-sized customers.There are so many bugs and limitation, that you have to be a Sophos Geek to manage it.

Sophos's Customers choose Sophos because "it is simple". Uhm....XG is not simple at all. For all Bugs I mentioning, search for bugs inside the forum. In my case there are so many cases that I never received a proper answer.

You should create a proper Forum area where people can upload and share bugs. I know we have to contact the Support but think about if all of us have the same issue, we will flood the support in any country while you should invite customers and partners to find an answer from forum first and then open a ticket.
So if I have an issue, first I have a look on Forum, if it is a bug and someone from Sophos says we are investigating, I do not even open a ticket with support (unless the bug is blocking the Firewall/Customer site). This should be the process!

I am waiting for v16 and hope that you will move to a completely other product that XG where logging, UI and basic features are working out of a box.
This is not absolutely happening at the moment!

Hi Ian,

I'm disappointed the MR-3 update hasn't resolved your issues, it has for many. My advice would be to email support(support@sophos.com) with the problem. There's a manual fix that support can apply, emailing through a known problem is a good way to have your problem resolved fastest even if you don't have premium support.

After upgrading to MR-3, resetting to factory defaults did allow me to add the access point.

No need to be ashamed! lol! I had someone in office power cycle the Ap50, but no change. I still see the log messages where it is trying to connect though..

This bug has been address in the soon to be released MR-3, It doesn't help you immediately but you're not going to have to wait much longer.

Mine is still stuck loading now for several months, but never loads. The AP55c works on the UTM9.4, need to replace it any as there is a probelm with it.

They seem to have fixed it for me, though they didn't tell me what they did.

At this point you have to call support and wait for them to involve an engineer to fix manually.

Hello, were you able to get this resolved? Or do you basically have to call support to get the manual fix? We have a big deployment this weekend and looks like we'll be in big trouble with the "loading" issue. (I'm seeing that too on a test environment).

I had the same issue, finally opened a case at sophos. They fixed my problem with implmeneting some manual changes directly in the Table tblwlap in the Postgres DB located on the Sophos Firewall.

Thanks, but no difference. Support already confirmed it's an issue on the UI itself as the APs are showing up and talking to the XG properly for their part, just the interface to approve them is busted for me and likely others. Waiting for workaround still.
