Any updates on the release notes? My appliance is showing the new firmware today (guessing it was republished) but still can't find the release notes in the docs or on Sophos website.

Hi everyone, MR1 was released, but recalled very shortly after, due to a late-detected problem with https scanning. We hadn't posted the release notes yet, but will do so as soon as the fix is tested, and the package is ready to publish again.

I have played with MR-1 for a while and I must say I haven't found anything changed. Maybe someone more experienced could notice something.

I'm still concerned that the update has been pulled. There are people who downloaded it and are running it and no word from Sophos why it was pulled so quickly. I can understand they may not want to publish the real reason but at least someone could write if it is safe to use it or it is better to revert to the GA firmware.

I haven't seen any differences with the firmware update either. Concerning that it was pulled so quickly...

I have checked just a few things and I couldn't find any visible differences yet (besides firmware build and name). I suppose there are no feature changes just bug fixes.

What worries me is that they pulled the update so quickly. That may mean a serious issue in the firmware. But... the device seems to work as before.

I will try to spend some time to browse the interface and look for changes. I will find something I will update the post.

Slawski , did you notice anything different? Did they incorporate any of the feature requests like renaming interfaces or is it all under the hood bug fixes?

If you are not experiencing any problems, keep running MR-1. I don't think it will hurt your protection. Something major must be broken for them to completely pull the update instead of waiting for the next release in March. Since you are one of the few lucky/unlucky recipients of the update, do ALL of us a favor and let us know whats new and whats broken in the update when you find out [;)]

How come this is not available anymore? I saw it in my XG this morning, but now its not. I'm assuming something was wrong with it? But what?

This is something that can be done now, this service release will be a downloadable firmware once it's released from your MySophos account.

Noooooo... maybe they need something like UTM style soft release to make sure some bugs are squashed before the GA. Also a direct download link would be nice for the updates even if it is only available in user portal.

Just a quick to note to let you all know that the MR-1 release has been paused. In other news, the UTM is getting its first feature release (UTM 9.4) within the next day or so!

I got the update today. Can't find a changelog anywhere. I'm using this at Home, but if this was for my business then I'd NEVER update without a full changelog.

Still no firmware available on my XG. Try to get release notes from Help inside XG Console and check "Appendix".

My office SW appliance (based on NFR Sophos partner license and UTM120 HW device), also announced new firmware version available for download.

It should fix some 50 requests/bugs, without any documentation, where, how and why...and with announcement to except more in March...:)
