Sophos 85w unresponsive after wizard setup.

Sophos 85w unresponsive at setup. I ran the setup wizard and after gateway configuration it told me the admin portal was available at https://null:4444. I can't get an IP Address assigned to my computer by connecting to any of the ports on the back of the Sophos 85w. When I manually assign the 172.16.16.2 the admin panel is still unresponsive. I have no idea where to go for help and there is no information on how to perform a factory reset. Can anyone provide any insight or have any suggestions? I am ready to just return the unit and move on.

  • Do you remember what IP address have you set for LAN interface during setup wizard. Did you leave it at default, 172.16.16.16 ?

    @ Luk...This model will be very hard to troubleshoot because there is no VGA port at the back (what a genius idea..:).

    thank you for sharing this bad idea. No vga port???[:^)][N][^o)]

    There should be a way to access the XG specially when the appliance does not respond anymore. No advanced guide on Web or community.


    Maybe we need to wait for someone that has the appliance or contacted the support.
