Can't use AP15 on XG

Hi All,

i used the Holidays to update my Sopos UTM 9.3 to the new XG

There are 2 AP15 on the Network - they are recieving DHCP - Adresses - but are still not visible under Protection - Wireless Protection - Access Points.

Can i "Reset" the AP 15 - may there is a configuration Probleme caused of the "old config" with my UTM 9.3?

Hi,
do you have auto updates enabled? A software fix should download automatically for this issue.

Have you checked the Assets tab?

Hi,

ich habe auch eine AP15. Ein reset ist, soweit mir bekannt, nur durch ein Hardreset der Spg. Versorgung möglich. Anschließend sollt die AP15 unter dem Punkt "Ausstehende Access Points" zu sehen sein.

After Restarting the XG and Updating the Patterns (about 3 Times) know the APs are visible.

Actually, this (specifically adding DHCP Option 234) seems to have solved the problem for me.
I was running a UTM and XG concurrently (migrating) and the AP would continue to seek out the UTM because they default to the DG for their management source unless the DHCP option 234 is defined otherwise.
I found this by looking at a network capture of the AP that wouldn't register with the XG and saw a DHCP Opt 234 request from the AP.
Once I set that to point to the XG, it saw the AP and I was able to register it.

Sadder is that XG doesn't provide for DHCP Options management.

Actually it does. But it needs to be done by the console.

I have problem with AP15 on SFOS 17.0.1 MR-2 (mr-1 works fine)

After xg is rebooted all 5 AP's working fine. After 6-10 hours of running two of five AP change state to inactive. Every time same. Last two in list.

Reboot fix and all ap\s are in active state. SFOS 17.0.1 MR-2 is unusable for me.
