Site to Site OpenVPN / client

Hi

is it possible yet for Sophos XG V21 Home to be an openvpn client connection?

Expect to cancel Virgin internet in December as they want to go from £23pm to £59pm.  So I was considering using my 4G backup, but it’s CGNAT.  I have tested openvpn cloud offering and pfsense and it works well, but looking at Sophos XG options.  So pfsense is an openvpn client to their servers.  So for me to connect I connect via Openvpn cloud servers, which then routes traffic to the pfsense fw

regards,

mike

  • You could try to create a XG-usable .apc-file from .ovpn on your own.
There a some conversion tools or how-to articles on the internet. (use offline ones, or manual due to sensitive information)

A few years ago a created a Site2Site with SG Firewall and third party OpenVPN on remote end.
Officially supported: openVPN only between Sophos <-> Sophos.

You might try that way, if needed. But no guarantee on stable connection.
