  • One of the features mentioned is the web UI now supports higher resolution screens. That's great and all, but there's not much point of having a tabular method of displaying information with wider columns, and still truncate the text in the table cells.

I've come across numerous areas where the non-truncated text would have fit in the cell, but it was instead cut off by the use of the ellipsis. I was even able to modify the page (using the browser's developer tools) and simply untick one CSS property (overflow-hidden) on the text element to make it display as expected.

You can find examples of this:

    - For network interfaces with long names (Network > Interfaces | Network > DHCP)
    - Lots of text truncated despite enough room in Rules & Policies > NAT Rules

Are there plans to further improve this feature?

Being able to see more information on a bigger screen completely changes the experience of the UI, in my opinion. It would be good to see it improved further.

  • Hi  ,

Yes, we have plans to improve overall usability, and our focus is on how to improve tables.

    Thanks for your feedback.
