Multiple licenses but only one install

Hello,

I'm pretty new to networking and tried Sophos Firewall for the first time.

I have only one install of Sophos on a VM. I believe I got a trial license which is now expired. On "My Sophos" account I have an additional license which is set to expire in 2999 since home use.

My question is how do I transfer the Sophos install from the expired trial license to the new one which appears on the account?

Hi, you will need to backup your trial VM, using XG backup, build a new XG, licence it and then restore your original backup. Ian

Thank you for your help, I recreated the Sophos XG VM with the correct license. All is good now.
