Hello all.
Our company is considering moving to smartcard authentication to converge three different badges we carry for identification. We have a small contingent of workers who currently VPN in using SSL VPN. I have been trying to find any documentation or discussion where people are using a similar setup with success but am not finding it.
I believe we will have to shift to IPSEC VPN, but wanted to know if the certificate in that setup is the one used for Windows Authentication or a different certificate? Also, how is the authentication handled if there is no user/password?
I am also looking at ZTNA but want to use existing resources without purchasing more that I am already going to need with the smartcard migration.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
