XGS logfiles unavailable with WinSCP?

Interesting, my XG210 (SFOS 19.5.1 MR-1-Build278) definitely lets me go directly to the logs. I don't remember ever doing anything that might have changed the permissions structure. Should I ask support to help get the XG back to normal behavior?

How old is the firewall? Did you upgrade the firewall for years or is this a newer Image? 

The firewall is several years old. We bought it as an upgrade from an SG and I think it came with 17.5 installed. I have upgraded it as newer releases have come out.

Could be an old relic, which never got migrated. As far as i know, Sophos did not change this with a Firmware update. Eventually, if you update to a XGS Hardware you will get the newer Base System.

 Or you could reinstall the firewall with a ISO and restore the backup.

you better do that at the next update - as Lucar wrote - there are some old relics that may cause issues.

I will plan to reinstall the firewall with an ISO. I've done that before back with an SG model. Do you have a guess how long I will be down while doing the reinstall and reload? I obviously need to plan the outage.
