Reopening this discussion: Sophos Connect Not Creating Config Folder
because the answer is NOT correct. This faulty installer has NEVER, and I mean N-E-V-E-R created a "config" folder in ANY, and I mean absolutely ANY customers PC, ever, no matter what. And when I tell a customer they have to create that folder in every single host they install it on, that's embarrassing and totally unnecessary. Please fix this ASAP as this has been a problem since forever.
What should be fixed? Because i could verify this on multiple installation: The import folder is there?
Did you verify via installation Log?
Even the most used script by twister5800 uses the Import Folder: Sophos Firewall: Sophos Connect Migration script from UTM SSL VPN
If this folder was not there, this would not work?

Let me take you through the steps:
I log into the User portal and download the Sophos Connect Client .msi
I then go back in and download the Windows Configuration file under the SSL VPN Client section.
I install the configuration file and its no where to be found.
I then create a "config" folder in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\Connect directory
Re-install the configuration file I tried to install once already and BOOM the file is in the config folder I just created above and I can import it.
Why are you doing this entire process with User Portal etc? Use the .pro file, you can create. https://docs.sophos.com/nsg/sophos-firewall/18.5/Help/en-us/webhelp/onlinehelp/AdministratorHelp/VPN/RemoteAccessVPN/VPNSConProvisioningFile/index.html
Then you install the Sophos Connect via MSI. This should generate the Import Folder. The import folder will simply be watched by the process of Sophos Connect. If there is a file, Sophos connect will import it.
So can prepare the file (pro), then you install the Sophos Connect via MSI (deployment via GPO or manual) and in this state should the \import\ be available. Then you move the .pro in this folder.
Thats all you need to do.
