XGS 87 cannot resolve url

Hi

I have a clients XGS87, and the users cannot connect to office 365 for email. When I use policy tester with the url, I get error device could not resolve the url, please update url and try again.

When I go to DNS and test the name lookup, it is successful on all DNS IPs programmed. Testing with outlook.office365.com

Other urls seem to be OK.

Anyone seen something like this?

    To clarify can XGS resolve o365 url? under Monitor Analyze> Diagnostics>Tools> Name Lookup?

    -and Does the affected clients use a XG as DNS? or public/isp dns?

    -was there any changes on FW/end machine settings before this occured? and are all users affected or isolated cases?

    If XGS can resolve on Diagnostics, kindly try using XGS as DNS end machines, to isolate and see if this is caused by the DNS config on client settings.

    Sorry for delay in response. 

    To clarify can XGS resolve o365 url? under Monitor Analyze> Diagnostics>Tools> Name Lookup? - THE XGS CAN RESOLVE THE URL. BUT WHEN I DO A POLICY TEST, THE FIREWALL CANNOT RESOLVE THE URL.

    THE USERS ARE ON PUB LIC DNS (Google then the ISPs)

    ALL USERS ARE AFFECTED. NO MAJOR CONFIGURATION CHANGES.

    Will  check of they can connect with the XGS as their primary DNS.

  • Is this only for outlook urls or for anything?

    There is a known issue in Policy Tester for customers who migrated from Cyberoam.  Are you migrated?

    The system is  a new XGS87. Also found that once users are configured to use the XGS as the DNS, they are now able to resolve the urls.
