Allow access from Host Dns to Web Admin Console in Sophos XG

Hello! I am needing to configure access to the Web Admin Console from a DNS Host. I managed to configure the Local service ACL exception rule on the WAN and I can enter from an external IP, but I can't find a way to allow a dyndns for example.

I have allowed access to the web admin console, from my public IP. But if my public ip changes I lose access, this is why I want to configure allow access from a DNS and not an ip.

This was possible in SG but I don't know if it continues in XG.

Someone knows?

Thank you.

  • Essentially this is not possible right now, but the use case is currently decreasing, as you can turn of SSH and Webadmin on WAN entirely and access your firewall(s) for free with Sophos Central. Sophos Central gives you always a reverse login console to your firewall, even if you "misconfigure something" like a DNAT Rule.
