XG firewall stuck at "A new firmware "Firmware version" is available"

When I login to the web admin portal of XG125, the web page is stuck at A new firmware "Firmware version" is available and won't allow me to go passed that. I cant click any of the available options.

How do I escape that screen?

  • Hello  ,

Thank you for reaching out to the community, this is a known issue - NC-111616. Which will be fixed in SFOS 20.0.0 EAP0.

    Affected files:

    1) /content/u2d/status_*.sigrNotes.txt
    2) /sdisk/u2d/downloads/*.sigrNotes.txt

A temporary solution is to *delete two files from the appliance:

    1.) /sdisk/u2d/downloads/HW-19.5.0_GA.SF300-197.sigrNotes.txt
    2.) /content/u2d/status_HW-19.5.0_GA.SF300-197.sigrNotes.txt
    3.) Reboot the appliance

*Note - Best practice will be logged a service request and take a support engineer's help !

    Thanks & Regards,

  • Hello
Another quick workaround to get past "New firmware available" pop-up.
    1. Right click on loading indicator icon and hit Inspect option in context menu (open development tool in browser).
    2. In Inspect tool, right click on selected element and click 'Delete Element' (It will remove loading indicator and pop-up layer, then you can access other menu items)
