From my point of view, Logviewer is Superior compared to the Live Log in UTM for certain scenarios.

There are generally speaking two scenarios: You want to debug a module and you want to review a current situation of a session/firewall/webfilter etc.

If you want to debug a module, UTM Live Log is a better approach, it simply pastes the same log entries like the CLI have (.log).

But if you want to do the basic Admin Job, for example check, what a IP is doing right now, Logviewer in his "search and relate information" integration is way better to work with.

If you want to view the simply module log like "Why is the WAF not starting", i would recommend the CLI for this work. But you could look into the logviewer - System and other modules for some information.

have you checked logviewer and all its options?

The main item that is missing is the realtime logging.
