licence error - home licence

I had a hardware failure and needed to rebuilt my system.

I reloaded the replacement unit from the source ISO and the system came up and I was able to connect to the internet. 

I tried to register the replacement unit with my existing SN and I am unable to do that.

I says it is unable to reach the license server. 

I used curl from the the advance SSH session and received a certificate error from the Sophos site. 

SN  C01001XXXXXXX

  • I have done that and all is correct.

    I am able to access the Licensing url using curl from the console but receive a certificate error from the licensing site. 

    I am unable to edit the original message.

    Make sure the Sophos Firewall Default Certificate is filled out.

  • I did verify, the default certificate is filled out. 

    This is different hardware from when I originally provisioned the FW. 

    The original unit expired on me. 

    What should I try next?

  • Please share the error or error message you are getting while syncing the license under Administration > Licensing click on Synchronize

    Also, login to Sophos XG with SSH and Go to option 5>3  and execute the below command : 

    tail -f /log/licensing.log

    SFVUNL_KV01_SFOS 19.0.1 MR-1-Build365# tail -f /log/licensing.log

    SFVUNL_KV01_SFOS 19.0.1 MR-1-Build365# cish
    console> dnslookup host eu-prod-utm.soa.sophos.com
