Enable onboard localwifi0 AP on XG86w appliance with home license

Greetings to the community,  I am currently using  the latest v19  software on my xg86w . Does anybody know how to enable the onboard wifi? I know that the software version doesn't support the wifi drivers. i was thinking more of a workaround solution using the CLI modprobe for example.

Thanks in advance

  • Thanks for your prompt reply. I’ve searched all over for a workaround and found nothing. If by chance you come across that information again, could you kindly send me the link.

    Many thanks

  • I would suggest you purchase an AP rather than trying to get the  XG86  internal one to work. Less pain.

  • Hi ian, thanks for your insights and suggestions. Its much appreciated. I have another xgw running the hardware version. So i guess i'm trying to enjoy the best of both worlds without paying for a subscription license. In the meantime, i'll carry on looking for a workaround.

    Many thanks, once again!

  • Hi,

I  have searched and searched and found nothing positive. Probably using the wrong criteria because there were some published instructions by a forum  member.
