How to install Sophos Firewall OS on a Centos 7 server

Hiya,

I need some help/guidance on how to install Sophos Firewall OS on a centos 7 server please. the use of it is to block any unwanted traffic going to a backup node. I also need the use of the nat that is built into the fire wall. Can this be done?

are you talking about using a VM on the Centos server otherwise no, because the XG takes over the hardware?

Hiya, thanks for reaching out, no not on a vm but need it installed on hardware, looking for documentation but can't find how to go about installing XG on hardware

Hi,

you would use the ISO. Are you talking about a home or business use?

Home use you are limited to 4 cores (preferable real), 6gb of ram and recommended mimmim disk of 60gb, preferably 120gb.

Hi,

I suggest you locate a reseller/partner to help with your selection and licence requirements. If you plan a cloud XG then you can setup instances with limited licences etc.

Depending on your needs, you could be better off using a virtual machine for a Sophos virtual firewall appliance.
