Sophos XG Home 19.0.0 - bad WAN Upload speed

Hi,

I have two Hardware Appliances (an older one and a newer one) with 4 Intel i211 Network Interfaces.

I want to replace the older one against the newer one.

Both Appliances have the same config (Backup from same Backup-File), the same installation (from the same USB-Stick) and the same version.

Port 1 = LAN Interface

Port 2 = WLAN Interface (configured as VLAN only Port with two VLANs -> 11 and 99)

Port 3 = WAN Interface (PPoE)

VLAN 11 = Gäste WLAN

VLAN 99 = Internes WLAN

LAN to WAN: Download and Upload Speed from LAN Interface (Port 1) to WAN Interface is good.

My Problem which exists only on the newer Hardware Appliane:

WLAN to WAN: Download Speed form WLAN Interface (Port 2) is good, but Upload is very bad (only 9 Mbits instead of normally 70-80 Mbits).

On the older Appliance with the same config, same version, same installation I have no problem from WLAN to WAN (Upload Speed is 70 - 80 Mbits).

IPS is not activated

  • Hi,

    I am using

    1x UAP-AC-Pro

    1x UAP-NANO-HD

On both APs I have the same results (bad upload speed from WLAN to WAN).

I test the Internet Speed with different WLAN Devices (Apple iOS, Windows 10 & 11) and with different speedtests (speedtest.net, speedcheck.org ... ).

  • What does the management server show of the connection speed of the devices?

  • Hi,

the Access Points have a good experience and they are all attached with Gigabit connection.

The Clients have a very good connection as well.

I do not think, that it is a problem of unifi environment because I do not have any problems with my "older" hardware with sophos xg installed on it ... but possible is everything and I look forward for some more troubleshooting steps.

    regards

    Thorsten
