I am still on SFOS 18.5.1 MR-1-Build326 and as far as I can tell works well for me. My setup is very simple and have not used any advanced features. Everytime I upgrade firmware I basically pray that I will still have internet after rebooting. My skills are hit and miss and certainly do not have any more than a home user who does not work in tech or security. So I wonder if I can simply stick to v18.5.1 until my requirements change in the future?
I would suggest you upgrade to at least 18.5.4 and wait until v19.0.1 has been out for a while and been tested by forum members.
You will still have internet access, but you will need to make some changes…
You will still have internet access, but you will need to make some changes because of the new features added in the later v18.5 versions.

Hi Sophosness
Something you also have to keep in mind with firmware versions is whether or not it is supported. SFOS 18.5 MR1 was EOL on June 30th of this year which means it will no longer receive pattern updates.
