Sophos Connect / SCCLI - retaining usernames and passwords?

Using the SCCLI for Sophos Connect on a mac (possibly on windows too but not tested yet), when updating changes to a profile by first adding a revised scx file, and then updating the connection in the engine, ( NOT using the "clear credentials" option ), the end user's creds are always cleared. Is there a way that we can update these profiles without loss of creds at the client end?

The commands that we are using in full are

'/Library/Sophos Connect/sccli' add -f "/private/tmp/profile.scx" -o

'/Library/Sophos Connect/sccli' update -e -n "ProfileName"

Having auto connect is great, but not when trying to push these out remotely fails because the user has to put their log in details in again.

Thanks

  • Thanks for the note.  That is the article I used.   As we are updating lists of IP addresses to split tunnels, we only have two options.

    1) remove the connection, and add again - creds will be lost

    2) add the connection with the same name, and overwrite - which for some reason looses the creds.

I don't see how I can update the config of the VPN without the two methods above.   The thing that puzzles me is that with the update command, there is a specific switch to clear creds.  We aren't using that switch, but creds are still being cleared.

Or is there an alternative way to add new IP's to a split tunnel config?
