Sophos XG230 Rev 2 Home install with v19

Good evening

Looking at a Sophos XG230 Rev 2 refurbished unit for about £400, I assume there will be no issues with wiping the unit and installing v19?

The unit in question has a manufacture date of May 2018

  • Hello Mike,

is this a homelab or do you want to use it in a company network?

The reason I ask is licensing options ...

  • Yes as rfcat_vk replied, this for a Home setup to replace a PowerEdge R220 that's drawing circa 30w ish.  I've got a number of devices that run firewall appliances, some a bit too weak for Sophos XG and some a bit too juicy on the power.  My Atom based system has Untangle.
