It does not even start the process of trying to install, I am using the SW_xxxx version of the download, tried using Etcher/Win32DskImage to create the USB as well

RE: Sophos XG Home on UTM 320 Hardware Issue

I have figured out the cause of my issue and hopefully this helps someone else as I spent hours playing with settings, reading forums and could not figure it out. The fix for me was to unplug the VGA monitor completely and simply run in Console Mode for the whole installation process. When VGA was plugged in the system would lock up and with console I saw:

...

...

...

And finally the option to update firmware came up, ran it and successfully installed XG Home on the UTM 320 I had sitting around. Now I just need to wait for the SFP media convert to come in tomorrow and I can replace my Bell Hub 3000 Fiber Modem with this UTM.

Used USB - Serial converter with a DB9 to RJ45 cable.
COM3 (in my case, you need to look in the Device Manager to see what was assigned on yours)
38400 Baud Rate

Hope this helps someone,

RE: Sophos XG Home on UTM 320 Hardware Issue

I booted into Lubuntu with a Live image and wiped the drive completely and still nothing. The system goes through the BIOS information, I see the USB/DVD start to read with a blinking cursor, a flash to another black screen and nothing. At this point the keyboard has lost power and computer seems frozen since not even a CTRL-Alt-Del does anything. I tried playing around with different BIOS settings, defaulting to defaults, and nothing seems to start the installation. I've tried the Hardware Versions of the applications on both USB-DVD and USB, software version as well on both Media types and even tried the older UTM SSI software versions. I can completely install Lubuntu but I have to disable ACPI and a couple other things but it installs, reboots and works. I've spent hours searching and trying different things and really stuck. Hoping an expert here can get me going, would hate to throw this thing out when it would be perfect for this task.

RE: Sophos XG Home on UTM 320 Hardware Issue

You should wipe the disk first.
