Allow VLAN devices with only WAN access to communicate with internal mobile on port 8081

I have several Sonoff Smart Plugs.  I assigned them to VLAN, with only WAN access.  Sonoff has an app, that allows LAN mode, which means I can access the devices without internet.  My mobile, which is connected to internal home network, is separated from the VLAN devices.

When I disconnect from internal network, and connect my mobile directly to WAN via Data, I can see the proper reporting of the Sonoff devices on the Sonoff app.  Once I join my home network, it's blocked again.

I read that Sonoff LAN mode is using port 8081.  What should I do to allow this app to work within the home without internet?

  • UPDATE:  Allowing IOT VLAN to access WAN did the trick.  Though I was thinking how can this be, when without this firewall rule, I can have updates on my app from outside the house on all IOT devices without creating this firewall rule.
