XG105Rev3 RAM and SSD Upgrade

Hi there,

i got an XG105Rev3 cheap from Ebay and I reed that I have to Upgrade the RAM to at least 4 GB to Support the newset Firmware v18.5.

I just ordered a Stick of 8 GB to Upgrade it to the whole potential.

My question is: can i replace de ADATA SSD with a faster one?
I checked the SSD and its a SATA3 SSD, but the connector used is a NVME. Can the XG105 use a M.2 2242 NVME SSD instead of the SATA3?

Hello André,

AFAIK, you cannot conclude from the mechanical formfactor of the M.2-connector, if this supports NVMe or not. Just try it out.

Hi Philipp,

yes I know but its really rare that its using a M.2 NVME Connector and a M.2 SATA3 SSD. That's why I was asking.

I cannot buy a NVME SSD for 50€ and find out that it doesnt work. Maybe a technican here can answer this right away?
