Sophos Home XG may be reducing my internet speed

I have a 500MB connection. I connected to my Sophos XG installed on an old Intel computer with three NICs. When I test internet speed, it is reduced to half the bandwidth. the XG is on default settings so I don't have any specific firewalls or anything that I could think of that is affecting the speed. ?

How can I diagnose the issue? I am new to Networks and at a very early stage of learning.

    Hi,

    please disable the IPS DDOS settings, then try again. Also you will need to disable the speedstep and set the minimum CPU speed so the CPU is running at a reasonable speed otherwise it will not ramp up and your throughput will suffer.
