CR50iNG to Sophos upgrade

Hi,

Just found our Old Cyberoam 50ing in the office and wanted to use it at home but it seems EOL now.
can I upgrade it to Sophos Home ? or any other which is free. It is on Firmware - 10.6.6 MR-6

any help would be appreciated.

Hi, how much memory does it have? You will need at least 4gb to upgrade to v18. Ian

It has 2GB but I have a spare of 4GB stick, I can make it 6GB

I think all I can suggest is change the disk after you add the memory.

As Ian said, You'll at least need 4 Gig for v18. However, Make sure to completely wipe the drive before installing home edition as default CROS device drive contains a CR-Loader and SFOS v18 onward uses grub.

If possible, upgrade to an SSD (even a 64 gig should do). It has a major impact on loading objects in GUI.
