XG installation issue on Intel NUC Compute Element

Hi All,

EVen though I have a perfectly running XG running as a VM in VMware, I want to move it to hardware.  As a result I purchased an Intel NUC compute element, including a chassis with two NIC's.  From a hardware perspective it therefore has the requisite CPU, Ram (4GB) and storage (64GB) and 2 NIC's.

Writing the ISO to a USB stick with Rufus (DD mode) works perfectly as does the installation, were it gets to the point where the installer states "Remove the installer disk and press y to reboot".

This is where the problem starts.  The device goes through POST, displays "Booting '18_5_1_326'", and after about 3 seconds resets and restarts POST.

I have disabled and re-enabled Serial ports in the BIOS, making no difference.

Where should I look next?

Thanks,

W

  • Hi Walter, did you check the BIOS settings?
XG doesn' t support UEFI boot. Change to legacy settings (or something similar).
