quick question for home setup using XG firewall free

Hello World,

I'm looking to setup Sophos XG in a lab of mine. about 30mb internet connection.

Would the following appliance work for my lab? Only implementing firewall rules and a Site-to-Site IPsec VPN connection.

Hi,

that will work very well. Only firewall rules does not mean much because there are a lot of builtin functions within a firewall rule.

The only proviso is that it has a standard BIOS not a UEFI which is not supported in the current version.

But the standard bios not being UEFI will not be an issue when installing SOPHOS home correct?

Last question. The device has built in wireless. Will Sophos recognize this during install or will I need to add some drivers to get this to work.

More than likely not, though there are some inbuilt wifi cards that are supported. Adding drivers will only work until you restart the box.
