How to generate a CTR on an auxiliary device

Hello Community,

I have a failover and want to generate a CTR on an auxiliary device, what should I do?

The appliance is the XG 550.
The HA configuration is Active-Passive.
Currently, the Primary device has failed and is failing over.

Thanks,

  • Hello Hirotaka,

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

Are you able to access the Aux device GUI, if you connect a laptop directly to one of the interfaces of the XG in the Faulty state?

I am inclined to believe that you want the CTR for the faulty device, but also provide the CTR from the Primary device.

    Regards,

  • Hello Emmanuel,

    Thank you for your answer.

I think the device can be accessed by connecting a laptop to the port in the LAN zone.

I am inclined to believe that you want the CTR for the faulty device, but also provide the CTR from the Primary device.

Does the above sentence mean that I can switch over with failover to get the CTR of the failed device even from the XG that is the primary device?

    Regards,

    Hirotaka
