Sophos 1st time setup with AD Server.

Hi

we are planning to install a sophos xg firewall in our network with AD server. I already check the interface of the sophos firewall.

my problem is how can i disable the dhcp server of sophos ? so that the AD will be the one giving DHCP Ip for the client? thank you in advance

Hi Jed,

you disable it in network -> DHCP.

To turn off the DHCP on the XG please go to Configure >> Network >> DHCP, in there you will find the DHCPs that the XG is using. As per why you don't get internet access when the XG provides an IP, probably you don't have a Wifi to WAN wireless rule.

If I disabled the DHCP server in sophos how can I have internet access to my 1 client pc?

For now I will not create a Wifi - Wan wireless rules. I just need to have my testing pc to have internet using lan port 1 in sophos. If I disable the DHCP server in sophos do I need to create a rule so that my Testing pc will have internet ?

I would recommend that you purchase some professional support service and also search the KBA for assistance.
