SSL VPN Client Installation

Hello everyone, first of all I'm sorry for my poor English, I hope you understand me anyway.

I'm supposed to install a Sophos SSL VPN client on a customer device. First of all, I have to log on to the Sophos, then download the SSL VPN client and do the installation wizards. Then the user can log in with his data and use VPN. Is it possible to install the SSL VPN client automatically without the user having to log in and download and install the client manually.

Hi , Thanks for reaching out to Sophos Community.

For the SSL VPN client, the User will have to login (in userportal) and install the client (with config) manually.

You can use Sophos Connect for SSL VPN, and deploy Sophos Connect MSI and Provisioning file via AD GPO. Upon user login, Sophos Connect can automatically fetch the SSL VPN config file and connect the VPN

  • Hi and thanks for the answer DevshM.

With Sophos Connect it is possible to provide VPN to members without having to log in to the user portal.

Is there a possibility, for example using a script, that the user automatically downloads the SSL VPN client from the portal using the script?

    thnx

    Hey,

With SSL VPN Client, the User will have to log in and get the installer/configuration.

With Sophos Connet Client, If you're using Microsoft AD in your environment, Then you can push the Connect Client MSI file along with a Provisioning File using GPO.

Users will have to manually log in and download if there's no AD to push these installers to the user machine.
