Unable to get Plex working remotely

Hi,

I have been through the various posts on the forum and still unable to get my plex server connected remotely.

Plex server internal IP: 192.168.99.33:32400

The server is a VM, which has a dedicated NIC, plugged straight into the sophos appliance.

I used the DNAT wizard to create the rule and it spit out the below, I also attempted to change the plex service to just be http ( i have a webserver running on the same box, and I can hit it).

Within the same LAN as the server I can browse to 192.168.99.33:32400 with no issues.

Any guidance would be appreciated!

  • Why would people be accessing your LAN unless to access the PLEX?

If you are seeing access from countries you don't to provide access to then you need to setup a drop firewall rule and NAT pointing to a dead end IP address (ficticous).
