Sophos S2S to Azure - Access Azure file share

Hi,

i have created a Azure file share and established a s2s connection from my sophos to Azure where the Azure file share is in this network on Azure.

The s2s configuration only has the ip ranges from the Networks.

how to I tell the Firewall and Clients that the Access to the fileshare „anything.fileshare.azure.com“ should go to the s2s to azure.

regards

tom

  • Azure Fileshare needs Port 445 to connect direct and encrypted.
But port 445 is blocked by most ISPs. So connecting within Azure (Azure Desktop to Azure Fileshare) is ok.

But connecting from outside you need VPN. This is ok for single Desktop.

If you are in a office behind a Sophos it makes sense to build a S2S to Azure and route the clients through the sophos without connecting every client seperatly.
