Cyberoam CR 25 wING Hardware ISO missing

Hi,

i am currently trying to revive a Cyberoam Firewall.

My Problem is, that i can only downlload the v18 HW iso which is not built for Cyberoam Firewalls since their end of life.

i guess i can install the cyberoam Firewall with the HW iso and make it a XG Firewall for a homeoffice or small location.

i can install the home SW iso, but it is illegal for comercial use and the Wireless adapters are missing anyway.

Please help.

    Hi Bastian,

If you're specifically planning to install v18 on CR25wING, then it wouldn't work. Even if you re-image the Device with a home ISO, v18 will need at least 4 GB of RAM where CR25WiNG comes with only 2 GB. (CROS didn't require as much RAM).

v18 Introduces a lot of new features hence it needs a decent hardware to fully utilize all of those. So even if you made third party upgrades to the CR25wING hardware, There are chances you might run into performance issues.

If this is a spare device that you want to utilize for a homeoffice, You can give UTM Home a try. Re-image with UTM Home ISO and see if that works or not. This is just a workaround to use the spare hardware for home. Do not use this in production. :)
