XG lost configuration while uploading firmware v18-MR5

Hello Community,

I've uploaded the Firmware v18-MR5 to several XG Firewalls (~30, mixed SG/XG 115 up to 525). Two XG125 "died" while uploading the firmware (installed Firmware is v18-MR4). It means the firewalls has lost their configuration. The boxes are not reachable with the configurated IP address nor with the default IP (172.16.16.16). These firewalls are located in far away offices so I can’t investigate to issue.
We restored the Firmware v18-MR4 with an USB-Sick and applied the configuration backup. After the boxes are back I was able the Upload the Firmware to this firewalls.

Try the new version of MR5, if this works. If not, check the /log/migration.log of that timeframe.

If this happens again, I will try to take a look at the log before we reinstall the firewall.
As I wrote, the firewalls are located in remote offices where there are only "normal" users, so it will be difficult to get to the firewall if it is no longer accessible via the network.

Did you use the current (new) V18.0 MR5? There was a re release yesterday with a fix.

It was 2 weeks ago. Still have a support case open. I'll check if the new release will resolve the issue. Thanks.

I‘ve only one firewall updated to the new MR-5. on this box I had no issues.
