Adding another NIC totally breaks XG Firewall and all dependent rules

Hello,

I'm trying to reopen this topic.

Is there a way to reorganize the interface mapping to physical ports ?

like a mac address binding in a configuration ifup file or in a pci devices mapping ?

On CLI, as my interfaces are completely messed Disappointed

I'm on SFOS 18.0.4 MR-4

Thanks

  • I remember some questions like yours here. Unfortunateley all came to the conclusion: don't add NICs to running XG. Never ever.

Put a suitable ammount of NIC to your setup during installation, adding NICs later will cause trouble.

Sorry that I cannot provide a solution.

  • Hello,

I've found my issue, I was able to add a third interface without issue, in fact, when I've add the forth one, I've selected another type interface.

I've deleted the interface, and select the same type as the other first 3.

and now it is ok. all my 4 interfaces are in the correct order. So maybe now the system is not perfect, but it may be a little bit stronger than before Slight smile
