Google Earth Web

Hi,

Weird issue with Google Earth web (https://earth.google.com/web/).

When I open the web it starts the earth but doesn't populate anything and its just a barren earth.

I've tried it with my admin account which has no filtering but I don't want to keep adding stuff to the bypass.

Any ideas?

  • Hi there,

You would be required to add all the URLs keywords to allow in web filter policy if the traffic of Google earth web passing from the rule where the content filtering has been applied as there are chances that different URLs should be allowed to access the google earth web. You can check denied logs in Log viewer for Web and Application

When you try to test from the rule where no filtering has been applied, is it working without any issue?

    Regards,

  • Hi,

Our support people managed to solve it. They added a new firewall rule for the Google Earth URLs with no auth on it and placed it at the top and it worked.

These are the URLs they added

    • apis.google.com
    • clients1.google.com
    • clients2.google.com
