Sophos AP15 speed issue

Hi,

There is a long Thread about performance issues on APs.

Maybe you are affected by the same? 

Would only describe  separate zone slow speed, not Bridge to AP LAN. 

Are all clients affected?

Firstly thank you for your response, i tried this but the same issue still happening.

And all clients have the same issue over laptops and mobiles.

How did you measure the speed on the APs? 

Performance issues are kinda hard to debug. Could be different issues related to each other. 

I measured it with speedtest.net website, i tested with the same website with cable and it looks great.

i noticed that the issue with the download speed only but the upload speed is the same with cable or wifi

what devices on your network are you testing with? What are your AP connection settings eg 20 or 40mhz?

I have found my MACs to be very slow to ramp up, while other devices do quite quickly.

I tested all devices on 20 and 40 Mhz and the same issue still happening.

I tried also with another wireless AP Linksys and I got more speed than AP15.

what do your IPS settings show, any dropped packets?

thank you for that update. Next what are there MTU settings for the AP?

Please post a couple of screen shots of the AP configuration, that might speed things up a bit.

I am having the same issue.  The direct line out of my SophosXG (XG85w (SFOS 17.1.2 MR-2) speedtest shows full 240mbs download, but the wifi signal download speed (with the same computer inches from the Sophos) shows an download of <20mbps consistently.  I have a very small office with no computer being >10meters from the Sophos.  I have updated the software on the Sophos and there is no change.  I will not mess with this very long, so if I don't find a solution, I'll just replace it with a Cisco product.

The default MTU for the AP is 1500, I tried to change it to 1492 and other values but there was a tiny change up and down.
