How to Block Microsoft stores and apps to download?

We only wanted to block App downloading from Windows 10 Microsoft app store application.

Hi Gilip,

I did suggest to use that thread as a guide, not to implement it. What you are trying to achieve I expect is possibly fairly complex because the MS apps are intermixed with other site functions.

It has the firewall rules, the websites and suggestions on how to block etc.

The easiest way would be to utilize Sophos Central Endpoint Advanced and do Application Control.  That would block the user from even opening the Windows Store.  Like Ian said it would take some work to just only blow the URL/IP's that Microsoft uses when someone tries to download an UWP from it.

That assumes he is a business, not a home user?

It would be cool if at some point with Sophos XG Home would implement synchronized security with Sophos Home.
