SFOS 17.0.7 MR7 no official changelog

Hi,

I see that MR7 is available for download from the ex. MySophos portal.

Where is the changelog, is it safe to upgrade ?

We participate annually in NSS testing, and required several small improvements related to IPS, in time for testing to begin. These changes must be in a publicly available release, but the improvements are not likely worth the effort for most users to install, by themselves. As such, we're not pushing this release to the masses, but it is publicly available, and everything in here, will also be included in MR8, coming shortly. Feel free to install it, it's safe, but probably not worth your time.

17.0.7 has been published in "Mysophos" abount one week ago, and still nothing like "What's New", "Change Log", or "Read Me" has been published ?

Meanwhile, traffic allowed by a disabled rule (29) Jesus !!! I thought that problems would be resolved by SFOS 20.0 ... I am considering pushing this timeline to version 30.0, and not in this decade. Groundhog Day they say ....

I heard today that MR8 is scheduled for a May 8th release. The date isn't written in stone though. I do know that it is supposed to fix an issue we had with PPPoE and IPsec.

Finally. This version changes nothing.

VPN still freezes many times a day, and et.c.

Correction ... At least for the last two days. VPN still freezes many times per hour. Horribly painful.

Hi folks,

slowly checking the mr-7 changes now the system has ben installed over the midnight changes.

At this stage I see the diagnostic reports have been fixed, no very large strange values and the units are spelt out as KBits. The graphs appear to be realistic.

Indeed, it seems strange it is listed on the "My Account" Firmware updates page but not on the devices itself.

Now talk of 17.0.8 and 17.1 too.

What say you - Sophos?
