Both SG 105w devices are on 9.506 using 2.4GHz.

But 9.508 cured your problem. I wonder if it was a difference from rev.1 (both of these clients) and rev.2 devices. Macht jetzt nichts.

Mit der UTM Version 9.508 funktioniert das WLAN wieder einwandfrei. Danke Sophos [Y] .

Hallo Bob,

ich habe die UTM 9.5 komplett neu installiert und konfiguriert. Ich konnte mich dann sporadisch mal mit dem Accesspoint in 2,4Ghz verbinden aber das war es dann auch schon. Das WLAN Netz wurde mir auch nur sporadisch angezeigt, dann aber mit vollem Empfang. Wenn ich mich dann einloggen wollte wurde das Passwort nicht genommen, da es falsch sei (was aber nicht stimmt und bei 5Ghz funktioniert hat).

Als ich die UTM 9.4 neu installiert und einen 2,4Ghz Accesspoint aufgemacht habe konnte ich mich problemlos und voll stabil damit verbinden, so wie es sein sollte. Seit dem läuft das System perfekt. Ergo muß mit der 9.5ér etwas nicht stimmen, das hatte ich aber auch vorher schon hier im Forum gelesen.

Bist Du Dir sicher, dass Deine Kunden mit den "w" Geräten auch das 2,4Ghz Band in der UTM 9.5 nutzen oder nur das 5Ghz bzw. Accesspoints?

Den Support würde ich ja gern kontaktieren, ich bin aber Privatanwender und "darf" mich nur im Forum austauschen. Es sei denn ich installiere mir die Testlizenz und melde dann mein Problem.

Sophos hat bei ALLEN SG1X5w Geräten einen BUG! Bekannt ist dieser seit Oktober 2017 aber getan hat sich in diesem Bereich seit dem gar nichts!

Ich habe bei einem Kunden nun zusätzlich einen AP15 hin gestellt, da dort immer wieder das WLAN weg geborchen ist oder aber gar nicht sichtbar war...sinnlos

I have several different clients with SG 115w on 9.506, Christian, and have no such problem. I haven't seen complaints about this issue in either the German or Wireless Protection forum. Sometimes, an Up2Date process mangles a part of the configuration. I suspect that had you restored the 9.415 configuration to your 9.506, you would have gotten rid of the problem. If you do do another Up2Date to 9.506 and you have a problem, you should get a ticket open with Sophos Support.

Das Problem mit dem 2,4Ghz WLAN ist gelöst. Ich habe die UTM 9.415 installiert und das 2,4Ghz WLAN funktioniert perfekt.

In die UTM 9.506-02 muss Sophos einen riesen Bug reingehaun haben, der das interne WLAN zerschießt. Und ich habe schon an mir gezweifelt bzw. gedacht das die Hardware defekt ist.

Es ist natürlich schade das ich die Sophos jetzt mit einer alten Firmware betreiben muss, aber ich brauche leider das 2,4Ghz WLAN.

Kann man diesen Bug irgendwo an Sophos melden?

ja, da bin ich mir schon sicher. Mein iMac kann beide Mod´s (2,4Ghz / 5Ghz) und mit der Fritz!Box hat das wunderbar funktioniert.
