Hi XG Community!

We've finished SFOS v17.0.1 MR1. This release is available from within your device for all SFOS v17.0 installations as of now.

The release is available to all SFOS version via MySophos portal.

Issues Resolved

  • NC-22472 [Base System] shm service found stopped
  • NC-23068 [IPS] Device stopped responding
  • NC-22950 [IPsec] Unable to login to GUI due to opcode stuck in v17.0 GA

  • Hi Guys, FYI we have MR1 installed and the issue of VPN's dropping still persists. After speaking with support they are recommending to downgrade firmware to 16.5. However in our case we have no backups from this version so we cannot easily downgrade without re configuring all over again. It baffles me how Sophos can release this firmware as production with such a fundamental issue and yet not fix it second time around in a Maintenance Release MR1. I've learnt my lesson, unless a major firmware release is at MR6 or so on I will not declare it as stable.
