Sophos Switch is a highly anticipated addition to the Sophos product portfolio. Our cloud-managed switches can be managed in Sophos Central or as standalone switches, providing extensive features to simplify network configuration and monitoring at prices affordable to small and medium-sized businesses. With advanced management, Sophos switches optimize network performance to allow companies to focus on growing their business.

The Sophos Switch Series

The Sophos Switch Series will eventually consist of ten models, eight of which are available from mid-December, the other two are expected towards mid-2022. We offer models with 8, 24, or 48 ports, either 1GE or 2.5GE, and including various Power over Ethernet options. Together with Sophos Firewall and Sophos Wireless, this gives you a single vendor for the full network stack, all managed in Sophos Central.

Management Options

Sophos switches can be managed in a few different ways:

  • Sophos Central – a new Switches entry is visible to all admins in the navigation pane. Initially, the management and configuration options will be limited but we will add to them over time.
  • Local web – this management option provides the full feature set and configuration of your switch from day one.
  • Command Line Interface (CLI) – for those more familiar with networking who prefer this option.
  • SNMP – the Simple Network Management Protocol is supported on all models.

First Availability

Sophos Switch will begin shipping, initially in limited quantities, from December 16, 2021, with volumes scheduled to ramp up from January 2022.

Market Launch

We are planning to launch Sophos Switch to the channel media on January 11, 2022.
