error when trying to open password vault

As of today I can't open my password vault.
I get the following error: An error occurred could not deserialize oblect to xml

I use KeePassXC on my mac, and I made one change - I created a new group and move a password from one group into the new group.
I reverted the password vault to yesterday's version before the change and tried opening that - but still the same error.

I downloaded Keepass2Android and tried open the vault with that and there were no problems.

Does anyone have a fix for this? -- I would much prefer to continue using Sophos Mobile

  • Hi Duncan,

Am afraid we don't support KeePass XC. What is the version of KeePass version you are using?

As KeePass XC has some additional features, it may be incompatible with SMSec. Please check if the standard KeePass can read .kdbx from KeePassXC.

  • Hi Haridoss,

    Thanks for replying.
The keepass file I am using is a .kdbx file that was originally created by Sophos Mobile Security.
I have no problem opening the file with any .kdbx compatible app on my Mac. I can also open the
file without any problems using Keepass2Android on Android.
I can no longer open the file using Sophos Mobile Security - I get the xml error every time.
