Issue Applying ActiveSync Profile to IOS Devices

We're using SMC 2.0(3) and I'm messing around pushing out different settings to our IOS devices using the Apple iPhone Configuration Utility and then transfering them via SMC.  I've created a Configurtation Profile which contains our Exchange ActiveSync host address, and then I leave the Domain and User fields blank as it says "Domain and User must be blank for the device to prompt for user".   Upon pushing this profile to the device, it adds the entry which shows the correct host name, but it leaves the Domain and User fields grayed out and unchangable, only allowing configuration of the password.  This, unfortunatly, it no good as it won't function without at least a username.  Any thoughts?  Thanks!

  • I tested SMC in it's 1.1-release. If my memory serves me well, there is a difference between a proper profile for USB-distribution via ICU and SMC. For deployment via smc, the fields for logonname and mailaddress must contain the proper variables, and the password may contain a password. The proper variables are described in the SMC documentation.

    Best regards,
