SMC on DMZ or local?

Hi.

Firstly, I want to test SMC with iOS 9. What is the best practices, do I have to install SMC on DMZ or can I do it local? Some explainations wuld be very helpfully.

Secondly, I wan't SMC connect with LDAP or AD, do I need a SQL Server?

    you can install SMC either in the DMZ or in your local network, that's your choice.
    However, the SMC server requires access to the internet. Please check pages 7 and following of the SMC 6 installation guide for different architecture examples.

    An SQL server is a mandatory requirement to install Sophos Mobile Control. The current installation package of SMC can automatically install an MS SQL Express server if you want. You can also use an existing MS SQL server or an existing MySQL Server.

    The connection to an LDAP server is an additional feature which can be used for authentication purposes of the Self Service Portal or the administration console.
